Olive Grove was established in 2020 with a heartfelt vision: to create a unique learning environment for students who need an alternative to mainstream schooling.
GED offers families the freedom to homeschool their children while embracing a more flexible and relaxed approach to education.
This allows students the time and space to pursue their interests, grow creatively, and truly enjoy their learning journey—without the pressure of fitting into a rigid mould.
At Olive Grove, we walk alongside Christian families who have chosen the GED pathway for their children, providing a supportive environment where students can learn alongside their peers while receiving the encouragement, guidance, and sense of belonging they need to complete their school-leaving certificate and move forward with confidence.
Psalm 52:8 ,
“I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house
of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love forever
and ever” (NIV)
In the Bible, olive trees are a symbol of peace, growth, strength, and God’s blessing. They represent lives that are deeply rooted in God and continue to flourish through every season.
Olives are also pressed to produce oil, reminding us that challenges can help us grow stronger and develop perseverance. Olive oil was used to give light in darkness, symbolising guidance, hope, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The name Olive Grove Learning Centre reflects these beautiful meanings. We aim to create a peaceful, supportive environment where learners can grow, thrive, and discover their purpose. Just as the olive branch is a symbol of peace and restoration, Olive Grove seeks to be a place where students feel safe, encouraged, and able to flourish on their educational journey.
